Legacy re-energised

Omnicom

At the heart of Bourke Street Mall, 299 Bourke Street has been sensitively refurbished to return a Melbourne landmark to prominence.

Within this revitalised setting, Omnicom has established its workplace across five levels. Framed by high ceilings and restored heritage details, the fitout unites Omnicom’s individual advertising and media brands within an impactful workplace environment. Each level accommodates a separate business, while the shared fourth floor houses reception, presentation rooms and a client café set within the soaring volume of the building’s former gymnasium.

North-facing terraces on levels four and five extend the workspace, while a newly added sixth floor features a south-facing terrace for additional outdoor space.

Conceptually, the interiors introduce bold blocks of colour drawn from the heritage porcelain tiles, with pink, terracotta and blue coursing through shared spaces to create a lively, immersive atmosphere.

Light-filled work areas open onto the terraces, blending heritage character with a contemporary culture of collaboration.
