As Finance Director, Lidija oversees the financial function of Bates Smart, providing strategic support to the business and ensuring fiscal obligations are met. In her role, she manages the practice’s day-to-day finances as well as regulatory compliance.

Earning a Bachelor of Economics with a major in accounting at Monash University led to her developing a suite of technical skills which was further enhanced by gaining a range of valuable industry experience. Lidija was also a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants Australia and NZ, working in Melbourne, Perth and San Francisco.

Since joining Bates Smart in 2018, Lidija has utilised her broad range of skills to improve financial systems and implement new ways of working. She has also been instrumental in helping the company achieve its sustainability goals, playing a central role in its carbon audit and achieving carbon neutrality.

With her calm approachability, Lidija enjoys working with teams and directors to ensure projects are on track to deliver the highest quality outcomes.
