The shortlist for the World Architecture Festival (WAF) Awards has been announced this week, including three Bates Smart projects in the lineup.

 

Fulcrum, shortlisted in the Future Projects – Office category, is a sculptural low-carbon design that creates a civic landmark entry to Sydney’s Green Square. The Completed Projects shortlist includes finished Bates Smart buildings 55 Southbank Boulevard and LIV Munro. 55 Southbank Boulevard is Australia’s first cross-laminated timber extension project and a finalist in the Creative Reuse category, while LIV Munro, the landmark build-to-rent development within Melbourne’s Queen Victoria Market precinct, is shortlisted for Housing.
