We designed Iglu Melbourne Central to sit calmly within a variable street wall, reconciling the diversity of styles that make up its rapidly changing surroundings. The slender tower responds to the site’s small footprint. To create order, we avoided stepping and façade recesses and instead shifted the gridded brick + concrete façade in line with contextual height datums.

Inside, Iglu Melbourne Central offers 374 studio apartments and amenity up all floors of the building, beginning at the front door and culminating on an impressive rooftop terrace.
