The architecture team behind the successful bid for the Sydney Metro West Five Stations includes Bates Smart + SAA Architects, John McAslan + Partners, Neeson Murcutt Neille, Stewart Architecture and Aileen Sage.

The Five Stations are part of the 24km Sydney Metro West line connecting Greater Parramatta to Sydney’s CBD. The package comprises the design and construction of five new underground metro stations – Westmead, North Strathfield, Burwood North, Five Dock and The Bays – and is targeting a 2032 opening date.

Sydney Metro awarded the project to the Metro Vista team in early 2026, led by Gamuda as Principal Contractor, with Laing O’Rourke and DT Infrastructure as delivery partners. Key contributors included Djinjama for Design with Country and TCL for Landscape.
