Luxury, address, identity – a workplace reimagined

Corrs Chambers Westgarth Melbourne

Located at 120 Collins Street – the Paris end of Melbourne – the Corrs Chambers Westgarth workplace is a study in restraint and refinement.

The design responds directly to its address, drawing on the history of the street, the grandeur of its surrounding facades and the formality of its position at the top end of town. Three distinct sensibilities are layered throughout: the tactility and material heritage of Collins Street, the order and intimacy of a residential penthouse, and the warmth of a luxury hotel. A singular material palette, explored across varying scales, textures and applications, gives the interior its quiet coherence and confidence.

The ambition was to create a workplace worthy of a world-class law firm – one that moves well beyond the conventional office. The result is a workplace that feels more like a luxury residence than an office: considered, layered and refined, with its own distinct Melbourne identity.

This is the latest chapter in a long-standing collaboration between Corrs and Bates Smart, and a continuation of a shared commitment to workplaces that are genuinely world-class. Where the Sydney office at Quay Quarter Tower responds to the soft organic topography of the harbour, Melbourne is anchored in the formality and elegance of its address. Different cities, distinct identities, held together by an unwavering commitment to quality, hospitality and excellence.
