Bates Smart are proud to announce the opening of Tweed Valley Hospital, a new major regional referral hospital, in northern NSW.

The new facility by Health Infrastructure NSW for the Northern NSW Local Health District, and built by Lendlease offers the local community of the Tweed-Byron region closer access to health services within a state-of-the-art public hospital on a greenfield site.

The hospital has been tailored to the local community requirements and includes increased beds, an expanded emergency department, modern medical, surgical and mental health services, expanded outpatient services with more clinics and new interventional cardiology service and radiotherapy service as part of integrated cancer care.

Congratulations to the design team led by STH as Principal Consultant, with Bates Smart, Turf, Urbanite and the multitude of engineering and specialist consultants who have contributed to the project.
