At Bates Smart we support an office culture that enables us to live and work ethically, and one of the preeminent ethical issues that we face today is our effect on the environment.
Our office policy and practice is based on a few well accepted principles. We strive to reduce our consumption and waste, and to minimise the toxic effects of that consumption. We seek information on the origin of the services and products we use, and whether they are green and ethical. We know that we can improve our environmental performance, and understand the role measuring plays in assessing our progress. Education and dissemination of information will be critical to the success of our efforts within the office and the broader community.
