Park Hotel Melbourne, Melbourne
Park Hotel Melbourne
360 Little Bourke Street, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Situated amongst the sleek upscale dining and retail venues of Melbourne’s premium shopping district, the design concept for the Park Hotel is intended to create a hidden world of curiosity and discovery deeply embedded in the historical context of the site.
Our design team took a research journey into the rich industrial history of the surrounding area which known as ‘Kirks Bazaar’ in the 1840s. The land was used as an established horse trading yard, stables and forge for several decades until the 1920s. The intriguing characters and untold stories uncovered by our research inspired a design concept that is finely balanced between the industrial and luxurious to create an intimate venue that entices locals and travelers to return through a layering of art, historical pieces and storytelling.
The guest arrival experience at Park Hotel celebrates Melbourne’s quintessential laneway culture with the integration of a bustling lobby bar and authentic local restaurant. Beyond the guest touchpoints, the hotel absorbs diverse professional spaces designed to cater for both large corporate events and small intimate meetings.
Every facet of the hotel’s design has been considered to create a sense of place, a perfect blend of tucked-away refuge and an exclusive destination in relaxed luxurious surrounds.
